What Your New Job Will Be About
As an Operations Manager, you and your team play a crucial role in leading and optimizing the warehouse/distribution center to achieve efficient, profitable, and people-centered operations. You will be responsible for three departments: Inbound, Outbound, and Online.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive continuous improvement in warehouse operations and service levels
- Manage all inbound and outbound logistics activities, including inventory replenishment, order fulfillment, and loading
- Oversee external warehousing operations
- Manage the operational budget
- Develop and implement innovative solutions, KPI improvements, loss prevention programs, and safety initiatives
- Lead the company's commitment to a zero-accident workplace
Excellent Distribution Center Management
- Plan staffing levels
- Collaborate with temporary employment agencies to plan staffing levels
- Foster a positive and supportive work environment to drive employee engagement and development
- Recruting and onboarding
- Promote knowledge sharing and best practices across departments
- Develop and maintain an efficient and professional organization
- Ensure employees are motivated and qualified, focusing on developing the project portfolio
In Collaboration with the Rest of the Management Team
- Support matrix organization projects and rollouts at the DC
- Facilitate KPI and reporting principles implementation within the DC in collaboration with development and controlling
- Participate on the Business Plan process for the DC (yearly strategy)
- Participate on the local DC budgeting process and ensure alignment with overall principles

Estimated travel and meeting activity is approximately 25 days per year.
Fluency in both written and spoken English is essential for this role. All applications and interviews will be conducted in English.

Our Project
JYSK is expanding its presence in Spain and Portugal with a new distribution center in Almenara, a town located in the southern part of Castellón, Valencia with a 274,000 square meter plot. With a capacity of 150,000 pallets, the facility is scheduled to be operational by 2027/2028.
